In 2007 Christine Dixie was invited to have a mid-career exhibition at The Standard Bank Gallery, Johannesburg. This exhibition drew together work that Dixie had produced from the period 1993 – 2007. The essay ‘ A Sidelong Glance: Christine Dixie’s Thresholds’ by Prof. David Bunn and the essay, ‘ A Breach in Representation: Caesarean Section and Christine Dixie’s ‘Birthing Tray – Honey’ by Prof. Brenda Schmahmann comprised the two sections of the catalogue entitled ‘Corporeal Prospects’
