An aeroplane lands at Ningxia, China. It is postulated that the plague that caused the Black Death originated in China in the mid 1300’s and spread along trade routes to the Mediterranean and North Africa before moving to Europe.

In this print the past and the present collapse, the line of red thread sewn into the print charts the rise  and fall of the Covid-19 pandemic and its pathways across contemporary trade routes in the sky
